I am back from sailing!

Hi guys, Its been a long time that i have not blog anything stuff in egen. During these MIA period, i was out sailing with the merchant ship going round the world and learning things from the sailors. I set sailed on the 24th March and i returned to the shore of Singapore on 8th Oct. During this period, i learnt alot of stuffs, such as engineering and mental strength.

I would like to share my mental strength experience with all of you. This part is very interesting. At first when i was known that i am going to be attached to a merchant vessel to have my internship, i was excited. My mind kept telling me that this will be a highlight of my life. I have a positive mindset to go onboard but situations started to change when i was been told off by the engineers onboard. Btw i was attached to the engine dept. Due to my inexperience and lack of knowledge of operating machinery, i was been scolded all of the time. Most of the time, i was being ordered to mop, clean and wash the engine room. I was treated like a cleaner, instead of a engine cadet. Hmm... this lasted for 2 months. My emotions and feelings are at the low peak, i felt like i wana to go home and forget about the internship. Lucky enough that there are a few soul mates onboard to share my sorrows, if not i am not sure what will i be doing or thinking. This time, i began to reinenforce my positive mental attitude, btw practicing my routine. This did help me alot and in fact i was beginning each day with a state of happy and cheerful mindset. I passed each day with a positive learning attitude which helped mi to go through the toughest time that i can have in my life.

Though this description is short and simple, maybe some of you may not be able to understand what i am trying to tell you all. In a short and sweet sentence: "No matter what happens, positive mental attitude will help you to pull through" and "Tough times don't last but tough men do".

Thanks for sharing. Ya, agree...it is the "die die can do" or "if you think you can, you can" +ve attitudes that make the impossible possible.

3 cheers to yourself!
